Precinct Web is a community safety initiative with the aim of addressing the challenges we face in relation to our safety. By focusing on the positive and sharing contacts and projects that are known to work, we aim to build a web of support for all like minded people within each of our police precinct communities. We all know about the problems which exist within some quarters of the safety agencies. Through this website we hope to encourage members to focus on the good stuff and to assist, wherever possible, those remarkable men and women who are a positive part of the safety agencies to be as effective in their work as possible. We encourage members to consider their entire environment when looking for ways to improve safety and to recognise that the environment, (roads, open spaces, lighting, employment levels, employment attitudes, signage), all have a part to play in creating an environment that is conducive to safety rather that criminal activity. To that end we invite you to be a part of this initiatve and to use the tools on this site to build your own community and while you are there, make use of all the other cool online functions to stay in touch with family and friends.
